Series of Internship Activities as a collaboration between ACICIS and Filantropi Indonesia
The Australian Consortium for ‘In-Country’ Indonesia Studies (ACICIS) collaborated with Sanata Dharma Yogyakarta University conducted a Development Studies Professional Practicum 2019 which was attended by 27 foreign students with the allocation, 17 students in Jakarta and 10 students in Yogyakarta. The purpose of this program is to facilitate the learning process and professional experience of the students from various university about the development in Indonesia.
Filantropi Indonesia is one of the host organization in this program and has accepted one student from University of Adelaide. She is Kristiana. A student, who mostly known by Ana, has expertise in the fields of humanity, migration and pluralism as well as education with the International Development study program. As a university student, she also has a responsibility to monitor and describe the marginal community. Ana, who is not really fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, share the story about Indonesian culture and how she admires it.
The internship for Ana lasted for two weeks. For her, the life experience in Indonesia can be a life lesson on their own. On February, 15th 2019, ACICIS organized dinner ceremony as an appreciation and a thank you for all the institutions who have been willing to establish a partnership for this internship program.
