Program Development Workshop for Food and Nutrition Resistance Filantropi Cluster
Broadly speaking there are five problems related to nutrition that are being discussed in Indonesia, they are wasting, stunting, overweight, obesity, and anemia in pregnant women. The reason of these problems is mostly from food availability, eating behavior, and lack of activity. These things have also changed the pattern of causes of death in Indonesia. In the past, infectious diseases were the main cause, now diseases such as stroke, heart disease, high blood pressure are the highest causes of death.
In 2019, one of the government's work plans is to prioritize the reduction of stunting. The government cannot work alone, it needs the involvement of various sectors to overcome the stunting problem in Indonesia. Realizing this, Filantropi Indonesia together with its members and networks, JAPFA Foundation, Dompet Dhuafa, Rumah Zakat, Danone Institute, Foodbank Indonesia, Omar Niode Foundation, and Indofood / Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network (SBN) Indonesia are committed to collaborating on Klaster Filantropi Ketahanan Pangan dan Gizi.
This platform has been built in 2018. To re-strengthen the joint commitment, we held a meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 with the theme "Workshop on the Program Development for Klaster Ketahanan Pangan dan Gizi". One of the outcomes of the activity was to agree on the issue of stunting as a work program within a year, to be in line with the government programs.
