Some famous people or influencer also has a role as a driving force to collect donation from celebrities, athlete, or even communities. The purpose in collecting donation as of 2018 is mostly for medical purposes then come close is empathy for victim of natural disaster and then to build house of worship. “We have to know how to create an interesting campaign, which emphasize in communicative story telling as a written text or visualization, also the effectiveness of impressions in terms of spreading the campaign, easily accessed payment method, so that it can meet the target specified” stated Mujahid. He said that If we want to create a productive campaign, we could learn from various practice that’s has been done and imitate it., while also adopt the current development and technology.
Another best practice was also presented by Hafiza Elvira, Digital Fundraising Manager of BAZNAS, she explained that digital payment they have been doing in collaboration with GO-PAY is one of the clear evidences that philanthropy can be align with the technological development as well as the excellence from the implementing party. “It’s important that a philanthropy institution to foster the trust of the donator through transparency and accountability of the institution, easier service such as online donation, ‘pick up donations’ and adequate program report that is easy to be accessed by the donator or the prospect” stated Hafiza. Activity program that has been run also affects the public trust thus have the potential to donate through the next activities/campaign
GO-PAY, one of the most used platforms for digital payment and fintech has launched a new online donation service called GO-PAY FOR GOOD. The development of this platform was initiated by the fact that donation activities are deemed to have several limitations (area coverage, not transparent, etc.) Moreover, GO-PAY FOR GOOD is also synergize with platform kitabisa.com to create various campaign. “This is also one of the reasons GO-PAY choose to partner up with other social institution with different background and issue”. Now, GO-PAY encourage social institution and organization to join to push the utilization of online payment in which we also can help others by encouraging the practice of online donation.
