Lazismu (National Institute of Amil Zakat), one of the members of Filantropi Indonesia, launched two new platforms yesterday (May 17, 2017), with the aim of encouraging and sharing innovations. Both aksibersama.id and sesama.id serve as channels for people who want to share resources with other users online. The first platform, aksibersama.id, is a peer-to-peer finance provider. Like most crowdfunding platforms, aksibersama.id facilitates both individual and community philanthropists in raising funds and advancing their campaigns for social and humanitarian action.

Hilman Latief, Chairman of Lazismu Management Board said, "Aksi Bersama (Joint Action) is the source for the best social programs for communities." Meanwhile sesama.id is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers interested in mutual transactions. The goods traded can also be donated to other people / institutions. The chief executive of Lazismu, Joko Intarto, said that the presence of the two start-ups is expected to service a much broader audience both “for fundraising activities by online users who are familiar in Indonesia and those who love to shop online," he explained.

In addition to the launching of the online platform, Lazismu collaborated with FEB-UHAMKA in launching the Social Entrepreneurship laboratory, and Philanthropy Laboratory of Islam. According to the Dean of FEB-UHAMKA, the laboratory is an educational tool that provides an opportunity for students to improve their ability in those business fields which have social impact and ultimately strengthen Islamic philanthropy.
