Heritage Preservation Initiative to mark the 70th anniversary of relations between Indonesia and the United States
To help mark the 70th anniversary of relations between Indonesia and the United States, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, UNESCO, and Indonesia’s Ministry of Education and Culture and Ministry of Environment and Forestry are developing a Heritage Preservation Initiative to develop, protect, and ensure access to Indonesia’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites – a multiyear corporate social responsibility effort highlighting the private sector’s key role in U.S.-Indonesia relations and commitment to preserving humanity’s great treasures.
The sample projects provide an overview of the support most needed, however, some companies may also wish to participate in different ways – in-kind contributions, ideas for new projects, expertise-sharing, etc. The Heritage Preservation Initiative will formally in November on the margins of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AmCham Indonesia’s 7th annual U.S.-Indonesia Investment Summit. At this launch event, which will feature Indonesian and U.S. representatives from the private and public sector and all participating companies and organizations, we will also announce the first round of project commitments.
