Introducing the Indonesia Philanthropy Directory as the Central Information Platform for Philanthropic Institutions in Indonesia
As a prominent association, Filantropi Indonesia acknowledges the importance of fostering accountability and transparency in philanthropic institutions to strengthen public trust in these organizations. This measure is imperative to preserve donor confidence and ensure that collaboration with various stakeholders can be facilitated easily.
In this regard, Filantropi Indonesia has collaborated with Kitabisa.com to develop the Indonesia Philanthropy Directory, which is accessible to all philanthropic activists and the general public. This platform serves as a comprehensive introduction to philanthropic institutions in Indonesia, providing extensive details about their profiles, credentials, awards, contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and programs.
Furthermore, it enables users to locate the nearest branch offices of philanthropic institutions in their region and facilitates philanthropists in finding opportunities for collective action, collaboration, and co-creation. The Indonesia Philanthropy Directory also serves as a means of introducing PFI member organizations/institutions and building transparency and public trust for foundations/social organizations that are members of PFI. This platform is a significant step in promoting transparency and accountability in philanthropic institutions, essential pillars of a sustainable and equitable society.
The Indonesia Philanthropy Directory comprises around 128+ institutional and company data, which can be conveniently accessed online by visiting the browser page: https://philanthropydirectory.id/.
The Indonesia Philanthropy Directory, one of three other platforms to be developed by PFI in 2024, is envisaged as a transparent source of information for Filantropi Indonesia’s members and the public regarding the credibility of philanthropic organizations and institutions, as well as the priority of their programs in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Directory’s development is slated to unfold in three phases, with the first phase already completed and the second phase set to introduce interactive features that will enable online communication and networking capabilities. Ultimately, the Indonesia Philanthropy Directory will serve as a valuable reference source for stakeholders in the philanthropic sector, contributing to a more sustainable future for the country.
