The Indonesia Philanthropy Association COVID-19 Response
Dear Our Heads of Foundations/Organizations
Member of the Indonesian Philanthropy Association,
Hopefully when you receive this message, you and your family are in good health. Praise, we all the leaders of the Management and Secretariat of The Indonesia Philanthropy Association are also in good health while continuing to work from home to strengthen the role and capacity of philanthropy in Indonesia.
In recent months, the world has been stricken by the epidemic of COVID-19 which has been designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a global pandemic with impacts that we could never have imagined. We appreciate All of the Foundation/Member Organization of The Indonesian Philanthropy Association who have supported the call of the Government and the medical community to strengthen the protection of themselves, families, colleagues and the surrounding environment so that the level of transmission of COVID-19 can be suppressed so that this emergency can immediately be overcome.
The impact caused by the global pandemic COVID-19 is so extensive and deep that a period of emergency and recovery will require enormous time and resources. We fully understand the current conditions are still full of uncertainty and uncertainty to adapt. We are heartened that several non-profit organizations and corporations have begun to take action to help the most vulnerable groups in society face these challenging times.
At this time, the role of philanthropy is needed to help Indonesia recover and recover quickly. We will be able to overcome it together with strong solidarity. With this commitment, we call on All of the Foundation/Member Organization of The Indonesian Philanthropy Association to:
- Strengthening communication and coordination to design and implement various responses together to handling COVID-19 and the recovery in various fields.
- Continue communication and discussion among fellow members with The Indonesian Philanthropy Association’s Secretariat team through various online and virtual channels or platforms regarding the planned activities and to reflect on the changes that have been caused by this global pandemic.
All Management and Staff of The Indonesian Philanthropy Association are ready to facilitate all members and other philanthropic activists to mobilize various capacities to help Indonesia cope with the emergency and recovery from the COVID-19 outbreak. Please take advantage of our various media and communication channels to submit advice, input, and disseminate information.
