Jakarta — The NEXT GENEROUSion – Young Philanthropy Festival 2019 was held on Nov 2-3, 2019, is an event to facilitate and promote philanthropic activities to youth, especially the millennial. Through the theme “Young, Caring, Providing Solutions”, this event has been attended by 52 exhibitors with various talkshow activities in ‘Panggung Inspirasi Filantropi’ and ‘Bedah Aksi Solusi’, also many entertainment actions and social competitions.
Approximately 2,356 visitors, targeting all ages and genders, participated in the event which took place at Kuningan Epiwalk. The talkshow was in the form of a ‘Panggung Inspirasi Filantropi’, which raised issues including awareness / tolerance across sectors, social entrepreneurship, to the role of young people’s active initiatives in social activities.
In addition, NEXT GENEROUSion also became the background in the launch of a digital fundraising program conducted simultaneously, PEDOELI INDONESIA (Indonesian Online Donation Week), involving philanthropic institutions, companies and the public through a QR Code scan that was previously registered. This program, in collaboration with GO-PAY and 43 organizations that joined the participants, managed to collect donations that were recorded in a transparent, real-time and accountable manner.
Filantropi Indonesia is received the main support of the Ford Foundation and several other institutions namely SMDV, USAID, Tanoto Foundation, PT Freeport Indonesia, Citi, Nutrifood, Unilever, Bango, Coca-Cola Amatil, Indofood, BAZNAS, TIFA Foundation, BEKRAF, PT SMi, ConocoPhillips, Sinarmas Land, East Ventures, Fore, Otten Coffee, Warung PINTAR and Aruna.
Filantropi Indonesia collaborate with PT Citra Media Kreatifindo (I.DM) who helped in the preparation of the event. Finally, NEXT GENEROUSion is expected to have a positive impact and encourage involvement in philanthropic activities and their application in the surrounding environment.
