Filantropi Indonesia’s General Meeting of Members
Filantropi Indonesia held a General Meeting of Members (GMM) on April 30 2024 which was attended by 170 its Members. This year’s GMM agenda included ratifying 58 new Filantropi Indonesia members consisting of 58 new members consisting of 46 organizational members, 10 corporate members, and 2 individual members. The Filantropi Indonesia Governance Board also explained that the organization’s work report for 2021 – 2023 had succeeded in recording progressive achievements through the four pillars of the Philanthropy Hub, and informed that the Filantropi Indonesia financial audit report for 2023 had been completed with Unqualified Opinion.
In this GMM, Rizal Algamar, Chairman of the Executive Board Filantropi Indonesia for 2021 – 2024 also presented the framework for the Filantropi Indonesia Strategic Plan for 2024 – 2027. For the next three years, Filantropi Indonesia will continue to be the main platform for credible philanthropists and thought leaders. This strategic plan was prepared based on an evaluation of the implementation of the previous strategic plan and is focused on strengthening the agenda of the previous strategic plan and strengthening the resilience of the Association and its services in line with Filantropi Indonesia’s commitment to the BUILD grant. The hope is that with the 2024 – 2027 Strategic Plan, Filantropi Indonesia can strengthen and have a strong organizational foundation based on broad membership, effective and relevant programs, and resilient finances.
Two other important agenda items are the ratification of the Filantropi Indonesia Bylaws and the Filantropi Indonesia Governance Body for 2024 – 2027. Ratification of these Bylaws could be a solid foundation for Filantropi Indonesia in moving towards professionalism, credibility, accountability, and organizational sustainability. With this ratification, Filantropi Indonesia can continue to strengthen organizational governance and be able to better respond to future organizational challenges.
The ratification of the Filantropi Indonesia Governance Board for the 2024-2027 period has also triggered enthusiasm to continue and strengthen the foundations that have been built previously. A good combination in supporting future management cadre formation is an important step to ensure continuity in Filantropi Indonesia’s vision, mission, and strategic programs. More than just continuation, this marks our commitment to strengthening the stability and sustainability of the organization in the face of ever-evolving changes and challenges.
In his remarks, Franky Welirang, Chair of the Advisory Board Filantropi Indonesia 2024 – 2027 said, “As an association, we hope that Filantropi Indonesia and its members can continue to provide greater benefits for their members so that they can develop into professional, credible, accountable and sustainable philanthropic institutions ”.
Okty Damayanti, Chair of the Supervisory Board Filantropi Indonesia 2024 – 2027 added, “This meeting is a manifestation of our commitment to maintaining quality and transparency in the management of the Association, by the mandate stated in the Articles of Association of the Indonesian Philanthropic Association. I hope that PFI can continue to provide the best service to all members following the work plans that have been prepared, and I hope that all plans and strategies that have been designed can be implemented smoothly so that we can achieve greater progress in the philanthropy sector in Indonesia.”
Rizal Algamar, Chairman of the Executive Board Filantropi Indonesia 2024 – 2027, accompanied by Irvan Nugraha and Deni Puspahadi as Secretary and Treasurer of the Management Board said, “The hope is that through the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, Filantropi Indonesia will be able to increase the strength and foundation of its organization with the support of a broad membership of more than 375 members, effective and relevant programs, and strong financial stability.” As an association, Filantropi Indonesia continues to develop the philanthropic culture and ecosystem in Indonesia.
Through strategic partnerships at national and international levels, Filantropi Indonesia not only becomes a forum for networking, co-creation, and collaboration between members but also plays an active role in creating an environment that supports growth and achieving common goals through professional organizational governance which is the main focus of Filantropi Indonesia in responding to the needs of members and stakeholders. By focusing on increasing member involvement and satisfaction, Filantropi Indonesia ensures that every activity held provides significant added value for all members.
The 2024-2027 Strategic Plan will be a continuation of Filantropi Indonesia’s journey, and it is hoped that both the Governance Body and Filantropi Indonesia members can take further initiatives in implementing the strategic plan that has been approved. This strategic plan is the basis for us to build and support the development of the philanthropic ecosystem in Indonesia through Philanthropy Hub, a platform that is the best, measurable, and trusted.
