Common Seas is on a mission to reduce the amount of plastic produced and stop polluting our rivers and seas through an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investment that benefits communities, the environment, and local economies. In the Indonesia chapter, Common Seas Indonesia addresses the serious problem of disposable diapers polluting the Brantas River in East Java. Common Seas Indonesia focuses on changing diaper users’ behavior towards environmentally friendly alternatives and supporting local communities by producing high-quality diapers that local women and underprivileged individuals can reuse.
