A qualitative approach was used in this research, with data collected through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that philanthropy carried out by citrus farmers for impoverished families—whether in the form of charity, empowerment, or the provision of production resources—has contributed to improving their welfare.
