The number of COVID-19 patients continues to increase and has experienced a spike in the past two weeks, especially in Java, Madura, and Bali. The government responded to this condition by implementing a policy of implementing Emergency Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the Java and Bali regions from 3 to 20 July 2021. Compare to the first wave, the current situation is more complicated and risky with the emergence of the Delta variant.
The philanthropic sector is required to support the government and society in dealing with a more complex pandemic situation. Philanthropic organizations and activists are not only required to mobilize and utilize aid, but they also must be able to see strategically what things can be done to be able to contribute optimally.
In order to map the current situation and the social and economic impacts caused by the second wave of COVID-19 attacks as well as the contributions that philanthropic organizations and actors can make, Filantropi Indonesia organized another Philanthropy Learning Forum (Online) with the theme ‘Resilience in facing the second wave of the COVID-19‘.
