Philanthropy Trend - The Practices and Contributions of Corporate Philanthropy in Supporting Sustainable Development in Indonesia during COVID-19 Pandemic
Indonesia is known as the most generous country in the world. The result of a study conducted by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) justified this opinion. One of the contributors to philanthropic activities is corporate social responsibility (CSR) of corporate. CSR is a concept where corporate not only has a responsibility to shareholders to maximize profits but also must be involved in the interests of other stakeholders, such as the government, consumers, communities, and environmental activists.
Various data and corporate philanthropy innovations are summarized in this publication. As a philanthropic actor, corporate philanthropy has now developed significantly in terms of involvement as a sense of responsibility to the community around which the company operates through empowerment programs in various sectors. In the decades of action, corporate philanthropy can become a driving actor for the development of co-creation and collaboration through collective action with other stakeholders in order to strengthen the ecosystem and accelerate the achievement of the SDGs.
