The word ‘philanthropy’ is also often interpreted as sharing personal resources for the benefit of all (sharing private resources for public benefits). Resources can be in the form of money, goods, ideas or thoughts, energy, and networks. In Indonesia, this philanthropic activity has been carried out for a long time through the concept of “gotong royong” or mutual cooperation and helping others
Members of Filantropi Indonesia also have different backgrounds, some of which are individuals, philanthropic institutions, social organizations, non-profit organizations, and companies.
All members of Filantropi Indonesia are organizations legally licensed to operate in Indonesia.
